You know, I really should have gotten used to this by now.
Lived in the Pacific Northwest all 17 years of my life, Seattle for 14 of them, and yet I still find myself unprepared when the sky opens up.
Today was crap.
Started out ok, it was just barely sprinkling out and I'd gotten the homework I needed done out of the way.
Got through Statistics fine, actually got to work in the lab during math class.
Then came Walking for Fitness.
We went out walking in the pouring rain, me in a heavy sweatshirt, jeans and a pair of sneakers.
By the time I got back, even with my friend Cheri sharing her umbrella, I was wetter than a dog after a bath.
I swear, my shoes were miniature aquariums.
Sopping wet up to my knees, and my camera thoroughly doused.
As it turned out, I ended up having to go barefoot for the rest of the day my shoes were so wet, and I couldn't even wear my jeans.
Ended up in flimsy sweatpants instead.
Two periods and my lunch.
I hate Thursdays.
